The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) has declared readiness for a Conditional Merger in response to the call made by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar for opposition parties to unite against the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The party gave the reasons for its commitment as the interest of the Nigerian people and the protection and consolidation of Nigeria’s democracy.
Addressing Journalists in Abuja, the acting National chairman of the party, Abba Kawu Ali, emphasized that any arrangement should be in the utmost interest of the Nigerian people.
Addressing the judiciary, the NNPP reiterated its faith in the rule of law, calling on the judiciary to deliver justice at all times. The party also noted the ongoing legal efforts, including the claim for the mandate given to its Taraba State Governorship Candidate, Prof. Yahaya Sani, in the March 18 Election.
Despite challenges within the party, the NNPP has also pledged to continue providing an alternative in the political space and called for unity among political parties and politicians, emphasizing the importance of peace, tranquility, and development.
