In a compelling speech delivered at the G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Conference in Berlin, Germany, President Bola Ahmed emphasized Nigeria’s openness to business and investment.
Emphasizing Nigeria’s commitment to a seamless transition between governments and political parties within the framework of a simple democracy, the event, hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, served as a platform for President Ahmed to articulate Nigeria’s vision for transformative changes in the year ahead.
Highlighting the essence of good governance, President Ahmed underscored the pivotal role in shaping the nation’s economic policies. “To change from one government to the other and one particular party to another. Nigeria is a simple democracy. The year we embark on transformative changes.”
With pride in Nigeria’s status as the country with the largest population and the biggest economy in Africa, President Ahmed expressed a commitment to economic reform aimed at accommodating foreign investors. “For us in Nigeria, we have the largest population in Africa and the biggest economy and the biggest opportunity. We are reforming the economy to accommodate foreign investors,” he declared.
