The federal government has called Labour leaders to a further meeting at the State House in Abuja in an effort to avert a Labour-organized, indefinite nationwide strike.
The previous meeting, which was supposed to take place on September 29, was postponed when officials from Labour did not show up. The new meeting will take place on October 1 at 2:00 pm in the conference room for the chief of staff.
The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) national leadership, as well as government representatives including the President’s chief of staff and the Minister of Labour and Employment, are anticipated to attend the conference.
